Highlights: Our sightseeing programmes take in the most noteworthy sights in each place. Sometimes local fairs and festivals or other happenings compel us to alter the itinerary which should be regarded as unavoidable adjustments of plans. If a particular monument or complex is closed on the day of scheduled sightseeing, we try to show it the next day, subject to availability of time.
The climate is pleasant in Madhya Pradesh from October to March, getting quite cold from November to February when we suggest you carry woolens as well. From April to September it is warm. But always travel light carry only one suit case, weighing no more than 20 kgs. and an overnight bag.
The tours can be joined at their respective first arrival point in the State. However, this depends on vacancies and an advance notice of at least 15 days is required.
Day Wise Breakup
Day 1: Arrive at Satna :
You arrive at Satna by Shipra Express and after lunch proceed to Bandhavgarh where you are taken on a round of the park in the evening. Overnight stay at the White Tiger Forest Lodge.
Day 2: Bandhavgarh Sightseeing :
This day is spent touring Bandhavgarh, observing different species of fauna and flora. Several types of deer are easily spotted. The elusive tiger grants a meeting to the fortunate.
Day 3: Kanha :
A free morning to explore or just relax. An early lunch and then you leave for Kanha, arriving in time for dinner and overnight stay at Baghira Log Huts, Kisli or Kanha Safari Lodge, Mukki.
Day 4: Kanha Wildlife Safari :
Today, you are taken on a round of the park in the morning and in the afternoon. Kanha is Kipling Country, celebrated in the Jungle Book, and now the wildlife here is as abundant as it was in his time, a century ago.
Day 5: Kanha Sightseeing :
You spend the day at Kanha, soaking in the jungle environment. Morning and evening rounds of the park are the highlights of the day.
Day 6: Jabalpur :
After breakfast, you leave for Jabalpur arriving in time for lunch. You have a free evening to relax and enjoy. O/N stay at Hotel Kalchuri.
Day 7: Departure :
In the morning you visit the famed marble rocks at nearby Bhedaghat. You are taken boating on the sparkling Narmada river waters, which flow through a gorge over 3kms. long of towering, glistening rocks of marble - an unforgettable experience. After early lunch at Motel Marble Rocks, you leave for Calcutta by Howrah Mail, having heard the 'call of the wild'.
